Welcome Letter

Welcome to the Silent No More New York City website! If you are like I was, the thought of speaking out about my abortion was something I could never imagine doing. I was locked in to the grief and shame of having killed my unborn child. At times, I even felt crazy because I thought I was the only one feeling this way. After all, abortion was a good thing for women, but if it was so good, why did I feel so bad?

I came to find I was never alone in my feelings. All along there were countless women suffering as I was, just looking for some hope that they could get past the pain and find joy in their life again. It took me years, but I finally found the help I needed in order to heal from the pain and devastation I had suffered because of my abortion experience.

If you are suffering because of a past abortion, we want you to know there are many resources out there for you to find help and most importantly hope. Countless numbers of women are suffering in silence because of abortion and we at Silent NO More NYC are not only here to help them find the help, but are also giving them a public voice.

We will no longer buy into the lie of pro abortion groups who claim they care for women then continue to deny there is such a thing as post abortion stress. We will no longer allow others to tell us how to feel. We know how we feel, and we know many others feel this way to.

If you are suffering from a past abortion visit our resource page for help or call Lumina/Hope & Healing after Abortion 1-877-586-4621 for assistance in finding the right place for you. There is hope & healing after abortion!

The Silent No More Awareness Campaign is an effort to make the public aware of the devastation abortion brings to women, men, and their families. The emotional and physical pain of abortion will no longer be shrouded in secrecy and silence, but rather exposed and healed. This effort is a key to make abortion unthinkable and persuade society that women deserve better than abortion.

The campaign, a joint project of Priests for Life and Anglicans for Life, has three main goals:

•Make the public aware that abortion is harmful emotionally, physically and spiritually to women and others;
•Reach out to women who are hurting from an abortion, let them know help is available;
•Invite women to join us in speaking the truth about abortion's negative consequences.
